This site, chasingredmovie.com, is the home of the documentary Chasing Red. This page explains what information the site collects and how it is used.
Visit statistics and advertising (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It records things like the pages viewed, the approximate location (country or city), the type of device and browser, and how the visitor arrived. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. We also use Google’s advertising features in Google Analytics, including Google signals and remarketing audiences. This lets us group people who visited this site (and our related site encierro.com) so that we can later show them our own ads on Google services. Google may combine this visit data with information from signed-in Google accounts. We do not sell your information, and no other advertiser can use these audiences.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you click Accept on the notice at the bottom of the page. You can click Decline instead, and the site works the same either way. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can clear it by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Google’s own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can turn off personalized ads in your Google Ad Settings, and you can block Google Analytics everywhere with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Site experience (Microsoft Clarity)
We use Microsoft Clarity, a free analytics tool from Microsoft, to understand how visitors use the site, for example where they click, how far they scroll and where they get stuck. Clarity records page views, clicks, scrolling, cursor movement, the type of device and browser, and the approximate location of the visitor. Text typed into form fields, including the contact form, is masked and is not recorded. Clarity uses cookies to recognize a browser across visits, and Microsoft processes this data for us under its own privacy terms, which are at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. Microsoft keeps the data for a limited period that it sets, and we use it only to improve this site.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Clarity stays off and records nothing until you click Accept on the notice at the bottom of the page. If you click Decline, it stays off. The same choice applies to Google Analytics. You can clear your choice by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type, and use them only to reply to you. The site also uses a hidden field and rate limits to filter out spam.
Other cookies and embeds
Apart from Google Analytics, its advertising features and Microsoft Clarity described above, the site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress may set a login cookie for the site owner. Hosting is provided by Hostinger, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. It is shared only with the services described above (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and our web host) or if the law requires it.
Your choices and contact
You can decline analytics and advertising cookies, clear your browser data, or ask us to delete a message you sent through the contact form. Use the contact form on this site to reach us.
